Smart . Ontario G2 driving test....any tips?

Ontario G2 driving test....any tips? IN ADVANCE I APOLOGISE FOR THE LENGTH OF THIS QUESTION! YOU WILL GET 10 POINTS IMMEDIATELY WITH THE BEST ANSWER AFTER THE HOUR! So in the past year, iv'e went to take my G2 driving test in my home city twice. Twice, I got the same driving examiner, a woman in her late 30's. She's the only examiner the local license place has so every time i go, it will be with her. The first time i took the test was in an old car, not that great of shocks and the signal lever stuck sometimes...But regardless, i passed the test in driving abillity but i failed in driver judgement for "personal right of way" I was at an intersection and a woman in another car was supposed to give me the right of way, and i took it but then she started to accellerate and the examiner yelled at me to stop...I stopped and safely got back into the flow of traffic. Apparently if the examiner has to command you to not do something illegal, it is an instant fail. The entire trip she was pretty rude so the experience really sucked and she seemed happy and said sarcastically "...you clearly did NOT pass today, and here's why" and she explained. I was her last test on a friday afternoon in heavy traffic and i could tell she just wanted to go home so she was irritated. So i went back last month to take the test again with her. I practiced a lot before hand and borrowed my folks 2011 honda civic..I figured a smoother more quiet ride would put her at ease a bit more. Test was the same route, i executed all maneuver's perfectly but when we came to the same intersection, i was more hesitant and when someone was allowing me the right of way, I yeilded because they were edging and looking as if they were going to go, so i didn't want to repeat what happened last time. They went and then i safely made the turn. The examiner was a bit more at ease but again it was an instant fail for impeding the flow of traffic and not using my personal right of way. I understood why i failed but i don't think it was justified because she explained before the test that if there was a situation where i have to make the choice to stop or go, to take make the decision i thought was safest and not take any chances. So i take the test again this friday afternoon with her again...iv'e paid to take this test 40 dollars each time. This is my 3rd time so i have paid $120 and if i fail this time, i will be upset lol. I know the route perfectly so i am going to go through it again and again to make sure. I'm beginning to think the ontario license place is just a business out to get my money. I mean legally they could keep finding reasons to fail me and taking my 40 dollars as many times as they want to make more money...so what should i do if she fails me again? Anyone have a simmilar experience? Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated....Again sorry it's so long. car insurance.

Smart . How to Change the Oil Pan Gasket on a 1990 Isuzu Truck

The 1990 Isuzu truck engine is lubricated by engine oil that circulates throughout the engine under pressure. The engine oil is kept in a reservoir known as the oil pan. The oil pan is located underneath the engine block. The oil pan gasket is sandwiched between the oil pan and the bottom of the engine block and makes an oil seal between the two.
Difficulty:Easy
Instructions Things You'll Need
Gasket scraper
New 1990 Isuzu truck oil pan gasket
3/8 inch socket and ratchet combination
Oil drain pan
Crescent wrench
Oil filter wrench
New 1990 Isuzu truck oil filter
5 qt. 10/W/30 motor oil

Step by Step :
1
Allow the engine to completely cool down.
2
Place drain pan under the oil pan drain plug.
3
Use the crescent wrench turning counterclockwise to loosen and remove the plug. Oil will begin coming out as the plug is removed so make sure the engine is cool.
4
Allow all the oil to drain out until there is just an occasional drip.
5
Use the 3/8-inch ratchet socket combination to remove all the oil pan bolts by turning them counterclockwise.
6
Use the gasket scraper to loosen the seal between the gasket and engine block and remove the oil pan.
7
Use the gasket scraper to remove all the old gasket material.
8
Place the new gasket over the oil pan mating surface. Line it up with the shape of the pan and the bolt holes in the pan.
9
Lift the oil pan up to the engine block and start 2 bolts by hand on both ends of the oil pan. Turn these bolts clockwise just enough to hold the oil pan in place.

Step by Step :
10
Use the 3/8-inch ratchet socket combination to reinstall the oil pan bolts. Turn them clockwise so that they are all engaged in the threads and then tighten bolts on opposite ends until they are all tight. The idea is to bring the gasket up as evenly as possible so that it makes a good seal.

Step by Step :
11
Use the oil filter wrench to loosen and remove the engine oil filter by turning the wrench counterclockwise.

Step by Step :
12
Screw the new filter in place by turning clockwise until snug.

Step by Step :
13
Give the oil filter 2 turns with the oil filter wrench turning clockwise.

Step by Step :
14
Use the crescent wrench to reinstall the oil drain plug by turning clockwise until tight.

Step by Step :
15
Open the hood and locate the oil fill cap. It is usually located on the right valve cover and is yellow with a picture of an oil can on the top.

Step by Step :
16
Open the cap turning counterclockwise and add 5 qt. of 10/W/30 engine oil.

Step by Step :
17
Replace the cap and close the hood.

Step by Step :
18
Start the engine and allow it to come up to operating temperature. Check the oil pan gasket for leaks. If there are no leaks you are finished. If you see leaks you will need to go through this procedure again with a new gasket. The whole procedure will take about an hour.
Tips & Warnings
Remove all the old gasket material. Any material left will cause the new gasket to leak.

Do not use silicone or any other sealant to hold the gasket in place. The new gasket is designed to match the machined surface of the block and oil pan. Anything adding space will cause a leak.

Do not over tighten the oil pan bolts. You will squeeze the gasket too hard and cause leaks.

Do not attempt this procedure until the engine is completely cooled down. The oil will cause severe burns if it is allowed to drain hot.

Be careful when handling the oil pan as the edges are very sharp and can cut you.

7
Install the oil dipstick, using the ratchet and socket.
8
Lower the Camry.
9
Fill the engine with the correct amount and type of oil recommended for your particular model. Consult your car owner's manual if necessary.

Step by Step :
10
Start the engine and let it idle, then check for oil leaks around the oil pan. Turn off the engine.

Manual Transmissions Whether your car has an automatic transmission or a manual (sometimes called standard) transmission, you should understand how a manual trans mission works. The principles involved are fairly simple, and an automatic transmission does basically the same things, just without a manual clutch and with less manual shifting. What a manual transmission consists of This section takes a look at each major part of a manual transmission. I covered most of them in the drive train section earlier in this chapter. This section should put them into closer perspective. The gearshift The gearshift can be located on the steering column or on the floor in front of, or between, the front seat(s). Older cars designed for the general market used to have shifts with three forward speeds located on the steering column (very old cars had a two-foot gearshift located in front of the driver). Then sportier models with four forward speeds emerged. The gearshift in these cars was located on the floor, which gave rise to the term "four on the floor." Today, most vehicles with manual transmissions have floor shifts with five forward speeds. And some sports cars have standard gearboxes with six forward speeds. 414 Car Insurance chevrolet cobalt 2007 sssedan4d 21017

The clutch You use the clutch when you start, stop, and shift gears. In each case, you step on the clutch pedal with your left foot to disengage the clutch disk from the flywheel so that the engine's crankshaft can turn independently of the transmission's input shaft. Otherwise, if you attempted to shift gears without using the clutch, the gears in the transmission would rotate at different speeds and would clash and break their teeth. The clutch consists of several major parts, each of which is listed here (refer to Figure 9-1 to see where these parts are). The section "Taking Care of Your Clutch" in Chapter 17 provides instructions for dealing with many of them. The clutch pedal is located on the floor of the car to the left of the brake pedal. The clutch pedal is connected to the clutch release lever via linkage. Sometimes a cable is used; most newer cars use hydraulic components. Chapter 9: Take the Drive Train: Understanding Transmissions... 17 3 0 The clutch disk, as you saw in the earlier drive train section, moves back and forth to connect and disconnect the engine from the transmission.

Smart . Do you need a permit to get a license?

0 The clutch pressure plate clamps the clutch disk against the engine's flywheel when the clutch pedal is not applied. The pressure plate releases its force and pulls away from the clutch disk when you depress the clutch pedal. 0 The throw-out bearing is linked to the clutch pedal and activates the release levers that move the pressure plate back and forth. After you have the engine going at its new speed (or going at all), you release the clutch pedal to bring the clutch disk into contact with the flywheel again. The friction material on the clutch disk causes them to grab each other lovingly and turn at the same rate once more. The gears The transmission contains the gears and responds to messages from the gearshift and the clutch. The gears are actually metal wheels with notches on the rims that allow them to mesh with one another (see Figure 9-4). Originally, the gears in most manual transmissions were moved into and out of mesh with each other by the gearshift lever. In modern vehicles, the gears are always in mesh and only the synchronizers move, causing a change in power flow.

The number of gear wheels in the transmission depends on the number of forward speeds the vehicle has. An additional gear reverses the direction of power so that your car can move backward. This Reverse gear works in conjunction with the lowest gear. Because you must bring a vehicle to a stop before you back up and because you rarely want to hit high speeds in Reverse, the Low gear provides the power to overcome inertia and get the car moving again in the "wrong" direction. That's why your car usually moves backward fairly slowly but with a good deal of power. How a manual transmission u/orks Generally speaking, the faster your engine runs, the more power it puts out. If you need extra power to get your car up a hill — or to overcome inertia and just get that heavy monster moving in the first place — your engine must run faster than it runs simply to maintain speed after your vehicle is on the road. Low gears supply that power by making your wheels turn at a slower rate than your engine does. 174 Part II: What Makes It Go? High gear transmission. Figure 9-5 shows a large gear placed next to a small gear so that their teeth mesh. If the large gear has 30 teeth and the small gear has 10, the large gear turns once to every three turns of the small gear. In other words, the large gear turns only a third of the way around for every complete revolution of the small gear. The gears in your transmission work on this principle, which is called a 3:1 gear ratio. As you can see back in Figures 9-1 and 9-4, the turning drive train brings a gear into contact with other gears of different sizes. That's why the transmission input shaft that runs between the engine and the transmission turns at the same rate of speed as the engine, but the Chapter 9: Take the Drive Train: Understanding Transmissions... 1 7C transmission output shaft that leaves the transmission and carries the power via the driveshaft and differential to the rear wheels turns at a different rate, depending on which gears in the transmission are engaged.
